Quick answer
How do I see a Japanese or Korean website the way local visitors do?
Open it through a residential IP in the country, signed out, with the local language set, and respect the site's rules on automated access. These 16 guides cover the main search engines, marketplaces and price-comparison sites of Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. JapanProxies provides the local home-broadband IPs, from $2.62 for 1 GB, paid in crypto, with no KYC.

What does each guide contain?
Every guide follows the same plan, so you can compare sites quickly:
- What the site is and who runs it.
- What changes with a local IP: results, ads, prices, delivery messages, language.
- What does not change: signed-in personalisation, delivery addresses, the exact neighbourhood.
- What the site's rules say about automated access, and the official API or tool to use first when one exists.
- Settings: username with the country code, URL parameters, language header, and a curl example.
What rules apply to every local check?
- Check public pages, signed out.
- Keep the pace close to a person's, and stop if a site slows you down.
- Use the official route first: Google Search Console, Naver Search Advisor, Rakuten Web Service, Coupang Open API, or your own seller and merchant tools.
- Do not collect personal information without a legal basis.
- Respect a site's decision about whom it serves. For example, Yahoo! JAPAN stopped offering most services in the EEA and the UK in 2022; a Japanese IP does not change that choice.
The full rules are in our acceptable use policy.
Local check questions
Why is a site missing from the list?
We add a guide only when we can describe the site's rules and official tools accurately. If you need a site that is not listed, write to [email protected].
Do the guides work without JapanProxies?
Yes. The advice on official tools, sessions, language settings and site rules applies with any residential proxy in the country. The settings shown use the JapanProxies username format.
Can I check these sites for one city?
JapanProxies offers city targeting on every plan: Add a city to the username, such as -city-tokyo, -city-seoul or -city-taipei: you get an IP in that city when the pool has one online there. City availability varies. Each guide says which results depend on the city.
How often are the guides updated?
Each guide shows the date it was last checked. Sites change their pages and rules, so verify the current terms before any automated collection.
