Any Japanese city can be requested with -city-NAME after -country-jp; city availability varies, and the checkout shows what is online. Two cities have their own page:
A Japan residential proxy is a server that forwards your request through the internet connection of a home in Japan. The website you open sees an IP address registered to a Japanese internet provider, the kind of address a person browsing from home in Japan has.
This matters because Japanese sites build their pages for local visitors. Google Japan and Yahoo! JAPAN rank Japanese pages and show local listings and ads; Rakuten Ichiba and Amazon.co.jp show prices in yen, delivery messages and offers for Japan. From a foreign IP, or from a hosting company's IP, you often see a different page.
JapanProxies is a residential proxy provider for Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Japan is our main market, and the code jp works on every plan.
Most homes in Japan connect by fibre. A large share of those lines run on NTT East and NTT West's FLET'S Hikari network, resold by many internet providers such as OCN, So-net and BIGLOBE. Other large fibre services include KDDI's au Hikari, SoftBank Hikari and Sony Network Communications' NURO Hikari.
An exit IP belongs to whichever provider serves the home behind it, and a WHOIS lookup shows that provider. JapanProxies does not let you choose the provider and does not publish a breakdown of its Japanese IPs by network. If your work needs one specific provider or one fixed address, a static ISP product from another provider fits better.

Since June 2023, Japanese exchanges apply the travel rule: before a withdrawal they may ask who receives it and why. Answer accurately: you are paying ProxyGoat LLC, a US company, for a proxy service. The crypto payment guide explains networks, fees and confirmation times.
We found no Japanese law that makes using a proxy an offence in itself; what matters is what you do through it. Three rules come up most often:
This is general information, not legal advice. Our guide to proxy rules in Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong has the sources.
We do not sell static residential or ISP proxies in Japan. Sticky sessions (up to 30 minutes) cover tasks that need one IP for a while.
We do sell dedicated 4G/5G ports in Japan: one modem with a local carrier SIM, reserved for you, for $5.93 per day or $89.25 per 30 days with unlimited data under fair use. They are listed on the pricing page. For most search, price and ad checks, residential traffic is enough and costs less.
JapanProxies is a Japan residential proxy built for crypto payment without KYC: Japanese home-broadband IPs from $2.62 for 1 GB and $0.50/GB from 100 GB, paid in BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC from a $25 top-up. Other providers may suit other needs, such as ZIP-level targeting or very large volumes; our 2026 ranking compares them on the same criteria.
JapanProxies offers city targeting in Japan on every plan: add -city-tokyo or -city-osaka after -country-jp in the username. You get an IP in that city when the pool has one online there; city availability varies, and Google and other sites may still infer a nearby area. To prefer one home network, add its ASN, such as -asn-4713 for NTT OCN, at no extra cost. If one city matters, test it with 1 GB first; the Tokyo and Osaka pages explain local providers and checks.
A Japan residential proxy is a network service, not a shopping service: your own software connects through a home internet connection in Japan. Japan proxy shopping services buy goods from Japanese stores and ship them abroad; JapanProxies does not buy or ship goods.
IP location databases are built from registration and measurement data, and they can be wrong or out of date. Japanese home IPs are sometimes placed in Tokyo whatever their real region. Check the country with two databases; see why a proxy shows the wrong location.
Sites can block or challenge any traffic they consider automated, whatever the IP type. Slow, human-paced checks of public pages rarely cause problems. If a site refuses access on purpose, a different IP does not make that access allowed; respect its decision.
JapanProxies does not accept yen: it accepts crypto only: BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC. Prices are in US dollars.
A Rakuten or Amazon.co.jp product page loaded in a browser often uses one to five megabytes with images; the HTML alone is far lighter. Measure a few loads of your own targets with 1 GB before you choose a plan.
No free trial — test with the 1 GB plan, paid from the minimum top-up; the rest stays on your balance, never expires and is not paid back, except where the law requires it.
