Quick answer
What personal data does JapanProxies keep?
JapanProxies keeps what it needs to run your account and handle abuse reports. We do not log the content of your requests, full URLs or page data. To handle abuse reports and billing disputes, we keep connection metadata (time, account, exit IP, target hostname, bytes) for up to 30 days, then delete it. We keep your account number, orders, top-up records and traffic totals while your account is open, and afterwards only as long as accounting rules require. We disclose records to authorities only when the law requires it. Our upstream network provider may keep its own logs under its own policy. Adding an email address is optional. We do not ask for your name, an ID document, a selfie, a postal address, a phone number or card details to open an account or buy a plan. The controller is ProxyGoat LLC (USA); privacy questions go to [email protected].
1. Who is responsible
ProxyGoat LLC, a Delaware limited liability company in the United States, operates JapanProxies at https://japanproxies.com and decides why and how personal data is used. This policy covers the website, the client area and the proxy service. Write to [email protected] for any privacy question.
2. What we collect, why, and on what basis
| Data | Why | Legal basis (GDPR terms) |
|---|---|---|
| Account number | Your login and the link to your orders | Contract |
| Email address (optional) | Receipts, account notices, account recovery | Contract |
| Orders and top-ups: amount, coin, network, date | Delivering plans, refunds, accounting, fraud prevention | Contract; legal obligation for accounting; legitimate interest in preventing fraud |
| Traffic totals (per account and sub-user) | Showing usage and balance, billing | Contract |
| Connection metadata: time, account, exit IP, target hostname, bytes | Billing, answering abuse reports, protecting the network and the sites it reaches | Contract; legitimate interest in handling abuse |
| Support and abuse emails | Answering you and recording decisions | Contract; legitimate interest in answering requests |
| IP address and page requested on the website | Delivering web pages (kept by our hosting provider) | Legitimate interest in running the website |
3. What we do not collect
We do not ask for, and do not collect, your name, an identity document, a selfie or other biometric data, a postal address, a phone number, or card and bank details. If you include such details in an email, we keep them only as long as needed to answer. We do not log the content of your requests, full URLs or page data.
4. Cookies, storage and trackers
The public website loads no analytics, advertising or social-media trackers. The client area keeps a sign-in token and your language choice in your browser's storage so you stay signed in; signing out removes the token. If you arrive with a partner referral code, the client area stores it so the partner can be credited. You can delete these items by clearing this site's data in your browser.
5. Payments
You pay in crypto to addresses we control. Each transaction is checked on the blockchain before your balance is credited; we receive the amount, coin, network and transaction details, not your name, because we do not ask for it. Crypto transactions are recorded on public blockchains, and your exchange applies its own rules to your account.
6. Who else handles data
- Hosting and content delivery, for the website and the client area.
- Crypto payment processing, for payment requests and confirmations.
- Partner networks, which carry proxy traffic and may keep their own technical logs under their own policies; see sourcing.
- Authorities, only when a valid legal order binds us; we can disclose only the limited data listed on this page.
We do not sell personal data and do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
7. Where data is processed
We are a US company, and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires a transfer mechanism, such as standard contractual clauses for data from the European Economic Area or the UK, we use one. Proxy traffic leaves the network in the country you choose, which is the service you buy.
8. How long we keep data
| Data | How long |
|---|---|
| Account number, orders, top-ups, traffic totals | While your account is open, then only as long as accounting rules require |
| Email address | Until you remove it or close the account |
| Connection metadata (time, account, exit IP, target hostname, bytes) | Up to 30 days, then deleted |
| Support and abuse emails | As long as needed to handle the request, or as the law requires |
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, stop or restrict its use, or object to its use, and, under the GDPR, to receive it in a portable format. These rights exist, in different forms, under the EU and UK GDPR, Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI), South Korea's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act and Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.
Write to [email protected] from the email address on your account; if it has none, give the date, product and amount of a recent order. Never send your account number or password. We check that the request comes from the account holder without asking for an ID document, and we answer without undue delay and within the time limit set by the law that applies to you (for example 10 days for access requests under Korea's PIPA, 15 days under Taiwan's PDPA, one month under the GDPR), free of charge. You can also complain to your data protection authority, such as Japan's Personal Information Protection Commission, Korea's PIPC or Hong Kong's Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data.
10. Security
We protect accounts with an account number that works like a password, encrypt connections to the website and client area. We never ask for your account number by email or chat.
11. Children
The service is not for people under 18, and we do not knowingly hold data about children.
12. Changes and contact
