What changes when you open google.co.kr from a Korean home connection, what does not, what the site's rules allow, and the exact proxy settings to use.
Quick answer
How do I see Google Korea the way a visitor in South Korea does?
To see Google Korea (google.co.kr) results as a searcher in South Korea sees them, send the search through a Korean residential IP, signed out, with hl=ko&gl=kr in the URL. Google is the second search engine in many Korean SEO plans, next to Naver, and its results differ from both Naver and foreign Google views. JapanProxies sells Korean residential IPs with country code kr, paid in crypto, no KYC. As of October 2026, 1 GB costs $2.62 and plans from 100 GB cost $0.50/GB; IPs are chosen by country, with optional city targeting (city availability varies).

Google serves South Korea on google.co.kr, in Korean by default. In Korea it competes with Naver, so most brands track both: Naver for its sections and Korean-hosted content, Google for websites and international pages.
Google's Korean results favour Korean-language pages and Korean businesses for searchers in South Korea, and they can differ a lot from what the same query returns abroad.
-city-seoul) gets an IP in that city when one is online, and city availability varies; the site may still infer a nearby area from other signals.ko-KR) are the ones shown to searchers in Korea.More examples in our guide to local search result checks.
Google's terms of service do not allow automated access that ignores the machine-readable instructions on its pages, and the robots.txt of google.co.kr disallows /search for all robots. Keep proxy checks manual and occasional.
Google Search Console gives clicks, impressions and positions by country for your own site, and the Ad Preview and Diagnosis tool in Google Ads previews ads for a chosen location. Use a Korean residential IP to see the full page as a searcher in Korea does, next to your Naver checks.
Our own acceptable use policy applies too: public pages only, no sign-in on someone else's behalf, and respect for each site's decisions about access.

Both, for most brands. Naver is South Korea's largest portal and shows its own sections and Korean-hosted content, while Google matters for websites, international pages and many younger or technical searchers. Their results for the same keyword are often very different.
It sets the language and the country to favour, but local results and ads also depend on the IP's location. A Korean residential IP gives the view a searcher in South Korea gets.
JapanProxies offers city targeting on every plan: add -city-seoul or -city-busan after -country-kr in the username. City availability varies, and Google Korea may also use other signals to place a visit, so treat the result as that city's general view. For ads in one city, the Ad Preview and Diagnosis tool in Google Ads lets you choose a precise location.
